NEPG is the main office of the Region 11 Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center. The Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center regional office, affiliated with the Northside Economic Potential Group (NEPG) and the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University is one of 12 offices statewide, providing services and support to the Michigan small business community in the areas of counsel, training, and research. - SCORE | Allegan County area
SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors. Allegan County has contracted with the MSU Extension office (MSUE) to arrange for a representative, Keith Edmondson, to be on site at the MSU Extension office on the second Thursday of every month. This person is here to assist with small business development through various counseling opportunities, and the consulting services are free of charge.
