The Allegan County Building Authority is committed to lending its guidance and expertise to plan, develop, finance and construct municipal projects as directed by the Allegan County Board of Commissioners.

 

Members

Brett Butler, Chairman
Graduate of Grand Rapids Junior College with an Associate of Arts and Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Facilities Management and minor in Advertising and Public Relations. Allegan County Facilities Management Director September 1997 through January 2008. Currently the Association Property Director for the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) of Greater Grand Rapids.
William Hinz, Secretary
Graduate of Ferris State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Environmental Health and a Registered Sanitarian in the State of Michigan. Started employment with Allegan County at the Health Department in 1973 and worked as a Sanitarian, Registered Sanitarian, Assistant Chief Sanitarian, Director of Environmental Health and currently serves as Deputy Health Officer/Director of Environmental Health.
David Van de Roovaart, Treasurer
Finance Director for Allegan County since August 2006. Over 20 years of municipal finance experience in Michigan cities and counties. Masters of Business Administration from Western Michigan University 1980, Liberal Arts degree from Hope College 1978.
Steve Sedore, Member
Graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science: Theory and Analysis. Have been affiliated with Allegan County since 1998, beginning as a PC Technician, then as the Network Systems Administrator. Was most recently promoted to the Information Services Director in 2006.
Bob Wakeman, Member
Graduate of Hope College with a Bachelors in Political Science and of Western Michigan University with a Masters in Elementary School Administration. Started employment with Allegan County as a Maintenance Technician for the Sheriff Department in 1987 then became Assistant Director of Facilities Management in 1999. Promoted to Director of Facilities Management in February 2008.
Becky Blaine, Recording Secretary
Recently selected (April 2008) as Recording Secretary for the Building Authority. Started employment with Allegan County in September 1999 as Secretary of the Facilities Management Department. In January 2008 repositioned to Administrative Services Assistant in the Administration Department.
