1Fine and costs will be waived if repairs are made, a police officer certifies repairs were made and the citation is returned to the court within 10 calendar days of citation.
2Fine and costs will be waived if valid proof of insurance is shown within 10 calendar days of citation. A statutory $25.00 fee will be charged.
3Fine and costs will be waived if a valid license, registration, or child restraint acquisition is shown within 10 calendar days of citation.
Traffic Violation Payment Methods
- In Person:
- A defendant may appear in court to admit responsibility anytime during the course of a normal business day. Clerk's Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Bring your copy of the citation with you. The clerk will ask you to sign the back of your ticket admitting responsibility and issue a receipt for your payment. Payments can be made by personal check, business check, certified check, money order, credit card, or cash. All checks should be made payable to the 57th District Court.
- By Mail:
- Appearance by mail is made when the defendant returns the citation to the court with a signed admission of responsibility (see back of ticket), along with full payment of applicable fines and costs. Personal checks or money order payments will be accepted by mail (Do not mail cash). Mail payment to the court listed on your citation. If payment is not enclosed, the court will enter the judgment and assess the appropriate fine and costs. All checks should be made payable to the 57th District Court. Please do not staple or tape your check to the ticket.
- By Phone:
- Call toll-free 1-888-604-7888 (Government Payment Services) 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. The 57th District Court payment location code is 5200. A convenience fee will be assessed by the credit card provider. The defendant admits responsibility or pleas guilty by phone when selecting this option.
