This special, highly trained unit consists of members from the Sheriff's Office, the Allegan City Police Department, and the Plainwell Department of Public Safety.  The officers assigned to this unit train on a regular basis, not only in the use of weapons, but more importantly the use of tactics. They assist in the execution of high risk search warrants, in the apprehension of suspects and in barricaded suspect/hostage situations. The services of this unit are made available to any jurisdiction within the county who has need of their services.
