Voting and Elections

The Allegan County Elections Commission (comprised of the Judge of Probate, the County Clerk and the County Treasurer) established the precinct locations for school elections at the regular voting precincts in each city and township instead of having the school elections held in various schools around the county. Now, electors report to their regular voting precinct to participate in all elections, whether the elections involve school issues or state, local or national issues. The law also established four specific dates for conducting elections: February, May, August, November.
