The Allegan County Health Department (ACHD) will start providing COVID-19 vaccinations for children aged 6 months through five years old on Thursday, 6/23/22, by appointment only. Both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines will be available.

The first case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) was confirmed on May 17, 2022 in an eagle in Allegan County. Additionally, earlier this week three dead geese were also collected and sent for testing, but these results may take a week or more to come back.
