Campsites

SILVER CREEK AND ELY LAKE CAMPGROUNDS ARE OPEN YEAR-ROUND

• Year-round campsite fees at Silver Creek Campground and Ely Lake Campground are $17 per site per night (+ reservation & service fees apply when making an reservation)
• Equestrian trail fees are paid separate from campsite fees
• Campsites can be reserved through our reservation program for camp dates starting April 1st through November
• Campsite reservations must be made at least 5 BUSINESS days (excluding holidays) prior to the camp date
• Unreserved campsites are available to *walk-ins on a first come/first served basis at the campgrounds (see notice to walk-ins below); make payment using yellow envelopes/fee tube near the entrance. Campsite must be occupied with 24 hours of putting a tag (yellow envelope) up.
• *NOTICE TO WALK-INS: 'RESERVED' signs for the upcoming week/weekend are posted to the site # post EARLY IN THE WEEK. If you arrive without a reservation prior to 'RESERVED' signs getting posted for the next weekend, the PARK RANGER MAY ASK YOU TO MOVE IF THE SITE YOU ARE ON WAS RESERVED AHEAD OF TIME; RESERVATIONS TAKE PRESIDENCE OVER WALK-IN CAMPERS. We apologize for any inconvenience!
• Cancellations must be made 10+ business days prior to the camp date to receive a refund minus transaction fees. There are NO REFUNDS for cancellations made less than 10 business days prior to the camp date
• Off-season December 1st through March 31st, campsites are available first come/first served at the campground; make payment using yellow envelopes/fee tube near the entrance. Please note that the campgrounds are not staffed nor are the restrooms/roads maintained during the off-season. Vault toilets are open year round. Water pumps are available Spring to Fall and are turned off during freezing temperature months.
• Silver Creek: all campsites have picket posts and are available for equestrian and non-equestrian use
• Ely Lake: campsites 58 - 73 have picket posts however all campsites are available for equestrian and non-equestrian use
• The reservation system is open year-round with the ability to make reservations one year in advance
• A minimum 2 night stay is required on a holiday weekend

Walk In Campers

(Campers who did not reserve a campsite through reservation system)

Unreserved campsites are available to walk-ins on a first come/first served basis at the campgrounds.

1. Take a yellow pay envelope.
2. Go through campground to find an unoccupied campsite and one that is not reserved.
   1. RESERVED' signs for the upcoming week/weekend are posted to the campsite # post early in the week.
      1. Walk-ins arriving prior to “RESERVED” signs getting posted will be asked to move if the site you are on is reserved. Reservations take precedence over walk-in campers (Check with Park Ranger)
3. Once site found, fill out information on yellow pay envelope and place payment in envelope.
4. Tear off tag on yellow pay envelope and place on campsite post, below the campsite #
5. Take envelope with payment and put in pay tube located near the entrance of the campground.

Note/Caution: walk-ins must occupy the campsite within 24 hours of paying and putting up tag or tag will be removed.

NOTE: Equestrian trail fees and campsite fees are paid separate from one another; there will be no discounted trail fees if you camp

• Campsite fees are $17.00 per night/per site (additional fees are still in place when making a reservation)
• If you are going to be riding on the equestrian trails, you will need to pay the $5.00 per horse per day trail fee using the pay tube at the campground or purchase a season pass for $25.00 (covers up to the allowed six horses on one campsite - season pass DOES NOT cover campsite fees)
• Cancellations must be made 10+ business days prior to the camp date to receive a refund minus transaction fees. There are NO REFUNDS for cancellations made less than 10 business days prior to the camp date

• IN PERSON at our office with payment made by cash, check (make checks payable to “Allegan County Parks”) or credit card (Visa/MasterCard)
