Assistance_VetThe West Michigan Veteran's Assistance Program is available to ALL Veterans that have served 180 days and have an honorable or medical discharge. The program offers various services including:

  • Gas cards
  • Assistance with housing and utilities
  • Clothing and personal care items
  • Food and Pet Pantry
  • Prescription Assistance
  • Medical Co-pays
  • Dental care
  • Eye exams and reading glasses
  • Household items
  • Cleaning supplies

Assistance_FamilyThis program services Allegan County Veterans. To apply for assistance with this program complete the WMVAP Assistance Application, bring in all household bills and/or quotes needed per the application and then bring all documentation to our office. We will make a copy of all documents and email application to the West Michigan Veteran Assistance Program. After the committee receives and reviews your appliactation the WMVAP will call you (the veteran) and complete an over the phone interview. If you have any questions prior to coming in please call our office at 269-673-0501.

Certain restrictions do apply, and there are annual and lifetime limits on how much assistance any one Veteran may receive.
