Types of Services

Food Service

The food service program is a comprehensive licensing and inspection program governing fixed food service establishments, vending, transitory food units, and temporary food service establishments. Services involve plan review, consultation, training, inspection(s), complaint(s), and food borne disease investigations. Licensed establishments generally include locations where food is served for consumption on the premises. Establishments are governed by the State statutes and licensed through the Michigan Department of Agriculture. Licenses are issued by the State based upon recommendation from the local health department.
