Immunization Education for Provider Offices

HDPH_ImmunizationsThe Allegan County Health Department, in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS), can provide educational in-services to provider offices to increase staff knowledge of immunizations. These in-services are conducted by MDCH - approved Immunization Nurse Educators. They are provided free of charge, and participants can receive continuing education credits. The modules currently available are:

  • Infant and Early Childhood Immunization Update  – 1.25 hours
  • Adolescent Immunization Update - 1.25 hours
  • Adult Immunization Update – 1.25 hours
  • Vaccines Across the Lifespan – 2.0 hours
  • Vaccine Administration and Pain Management – 1 hour
  • Vaccine Management: Storage and Handling – 1 hour
  • Pediatric and Adult Influenza Update – 1 hour
  • The Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program: Information for Physicians and their Staff – 1.25 hours
